Who publishes DetoxNJ

DetoxNJ is published by Periscope Behavioral Health, which operates or holds an ownership interest in Emerald Wellness, South Jersey Recovery Program, Palm Beach Recovery Centers, Palm Beach Healing Centers, and Transitions Recovery Program, and is developing a medical detox in Hammonton, NJ (expected Summer 2027). DetoxNJ itself is an educational publication, not a clinic: it does not admit, diagnose, or treat anyone. When a page names a facility that belongs to our publisher, it says so. When it names a facility that does not, we have no financial relationship with that facility.

Editorial standards

Every clinical page is published by DetoxNJ and drawn from published, evidence-based sources — including ASAM criteria, SAMHSA treatment improvement protocols, and peer-reviewed literature. We show the update date on each page. When guidance changes, we update the page and note the change. Clinical guidance is written to apply to any licensed New Jersey program, not only our publisher’s.

How affiliations are disclosed

We do not accept payment for facility listings and do not sell contact information. Inquiries sent through our form go first to DetoxNJ care navigators, who help you understand your options; the call and the help are free, and treatment costs depend on your coverage. We introduce you to a facility, including our publisher’s own, only when it fits your needs and you ask us to. The affiliation appears in the footer of every page, on the contact form, and wherever an affiliated facility is named.

Corrections

If you spot an error — clinical, factual, or otherwise — please tell us through the contact page. We correct promptly and publicly.
